Energy Management Centre (EMC) Kerala, the State Designated agency to implement the Energy conservation Act has been selected for this years’ India Power Award in the category of Energy Efficiency, conservation and Demand Side Management. Dr. R. Hari Kumar, Head, Energy Education and Training received the award from Shri. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways in a function organised in New Delhi on 19.11.14. The award committee selected EMC for this award for implementing energy efficiency and energy conservation projects in Kerala. EMC has implemented several energy conservation programmes in the State. This is the second India Power award received by EMC. India Power award is instituted by Council of Power Utilities, India.
